Avery's Baby Blessing & Updates

Yep, I have been lame at blogging lately... I have been slightly busier than normal if you know what I mean.  Last week my parents were in town and we had a blast hanging with them.  My Dad hasn't been to Texas before, so we had fun showing him around.

This was a few weeks ago at Jaxson's favorite place-- Inflatable Wonderland ... aka. the bounce house.  He use to ask everyday if we could take him there.  Maybe we would take him there more often if he actually wanted to jump in the Bounce playgrounds and go down the slides, but he is much more excited to play the basketball game and mash alligators.

Skee ball (as Jaxson calls it). He just goes right up to the rings and tosses the balls. Cute kid.
Mashing the alligators.  He always talks about mashing alligators.  He even likes to pretend that their are alligators in our house ... then he mashes them.

OK... here is where my parents got into town.  This is my Dad (papa) and his cute little grand kiddos.  Jaxson cracks me up.
We took my parents to go see the Alamo and River walk.
The next day we went to Sea World and had a blast.  I love how we can get this close and feed the dolphins.  Jaxson (and me) both loved it- so cool!

He is one happy camper here.
Jax thought this parrot was pretty cool.  And yes, he does look like a homeless child (no shoes and all).  It is hard to keep shoes on this kid - I find it easier to just to let him go barefoot half the time.
On Sunday, we blessed our little girl in Church.  Avery Joan Harbor.  We love this little sweetheart so much.  I find so much joy and happiness being a mom, and I love Jaxson and Avery more than I could ever express.  I am grateful to a loving Heavenly Father who allows us the blessing to be parents.

The only "good" photo we got with my parents on the blessing day.
"We are a happy family"  .... we like to sing that primary song.  "We love Jaxson, yes siree, he loves us and so you see, we are a happy family."

We also walked to the park and as always, Jaxson had a blast.   Due to my previous distraught-tedness (nice word eh?) I hadn't mentioned this to anyone.  While we were down at the Alamo, Jaxson took a tumble and chipped his front tooth (about 25% of what was showing chipped off).  I felt so sick to my stomach, and I was sad my cute little boy with his adorable-gap-teeth got hurt (and that he messed up his smile).  Luckily, I was only distraught for about a day.  We have some good friends who live nearby, and he is a dentist (he said he could fix it for us -  which he did :)  Anyway, you can kinda (not really) get a look at it from this photo ...
 Proud grandparents.
On Monday, we went to the Zoo - we had never been before and I love that sort of thing, so we had a great time.  This one shows Jaxson's tooth a bit better.
Don't want to mash this alligator.   When we were driving to the zoo, Jaxson told me how he was going to mash the alligators and hit the lions when it tried to bit him. haha.

They had a little petting zoo - Jaxson had a good time combing the piggies hair.

We enjoyed lots of good food while my parents were in town (oooo how I love food!).  This photo is at the Rainforest cafe --- the decorations in the restaurant were so cool.  There were large animals all over the walls that would come alive every 10 minutes or so.  They would even have "thunderstorms" periodically (no actual rain, but we could hear lightening and the lights would flicker) that frightened Jaxson.
One last photo ... Avery has been smiling more lately, and I find it just precious.
