April 2016

How can it be May already?! I am actually not complaining because I am looking forward to moving into our house come mid June. Like always, I have a bunch of random photos to show you what we got up to this month.

Starting with Easter Sunday (which I believe was actually in March ... oops!) This was the best picture we could get. Jaxson threw a fit because his knee hurt, although he was the one who choose to kneel down. Oh well, I love these kids!!
My brother, Jason, introduced us to the app face swap. It is pretty funny to use. Here is a swap of Ryan & Jaxson's faces .... yikes!
The hot dog dance just came on. I wish he still got so excited every time it came on but the novelty is wearing out.
We signed up Jaxson up for flag football this "spring." Most of the practices have been pretty cold and several of the games have cancelled due to snow. Whenever we do have practice, I bundle up the kids and let them run around. I am glad that they love being outside and having fun even when its cold. Griffin just loves grabbing the football and throwing it to whoever will catch it. So cute!

Jaxson hiking the ball to his friend, Boston.
We always joke how we are trying to keep Avery from hurting herself on a daily basis. Well, the next two pictures are two days in a row of big bumps.
I hope one day she listens to me and gets hurt less!
Conference weekend! The kids picked a cute flower garden for me :) melt my heart!
We went on a nature walk in between sessions on Sunday. These two were acting like best friends and it made me so happy! I wish they would do it more often!!
Morning snuggles
Avery started dance this month. She absolutely loves it even though she hardly ever listens to the teacher. Her first dance class she was running laps around the room while the girls were supposed to be dancing. Silly girl!
We took a quick trip to Utah (sat-mon) on weekend in April. It's nice that we (finally) have family close enough to drive and see and not have it take forever in the car! We took the kids to the Bean museum on BYU campus. Griffin growled at all of the animals - so cute!!

Karen and I had a quick sisters date to waffle love. We sure enjoyed this fried ice cream on top of a cinnamon sugar waffle. Yum!!
My good friend Kelsey came down to Provo to see me! Our kids have a fun time playing with each other - instant friends!

We hit up a BYU mens volleyball game while we were there. Loved it!! Would be even better if the kids sat still and watched so we weren't so worried about them falling down the bleachers.
Uncle Dallin was a good sport and helped us with the crazy kiddos.

Jaxson was so excited to get a picture with Cosmo! I loved hwo Avery kept calling him "that lion guy!"
Before church on Sunday morning, we stopped by the Provo temple and walked around the grounds. So pretty!! I miss all of the flowers, blossoms, greenery, etc.
Ahhhhh so pretty!!
I loved being able to spend time with my little bro & sister in Provo. Thank you Karen for being such a good host! Crazy lady decided to have her baby just 12 hours after we left!
When we got back to Denver, Jaxson turned in his big kindergarten ocean animal project. He learned all about the octopus and have fun drawing/coloring pictures for his poster presentation.
Ryan's parents came to visit us!! During Jaxson's football practice, Griffin found a patch of snow under a tree. It was 70 degrees outside, but this snow had been sitting in the shade and hadn't melted yet. Griffin loved playing in it and watching Ryan and Guh Goh have a snowball fight.
Playing with the grandparents at the park. Watching the kids is so much easier when you have 2 extra sets of hands helping!

Guh Goh helped Jaxson with his reading each day. Jaxson is doing really well and is reading The Magic Tree house book series. He is good enough to read them on his own, but generally wants someone to sit with him and keep him focused.
We made a stop by the Nature & Science museum on Saturday. They have a special little kiddo area that is similar to a children museum. We love it, thank you for the passes Guh Goh & Papa Harbor!
Jaxson had a football game that weekend too. He scored his first touchdown and made for a great cheerleader! We are excited to watch him in the next few weeks as he has a lot more games!
He was pretty excited about the after game snack.
His good friend Boston plays on the same team as him. Cute picture of them!
Avery borrowed Guh Goh's hat during the game.
On Sunday we went for another nature walk.
In Golden, CO by the library river walk area.
Jaxson & Avery loved blowing dandelion seeds with Guh Goh, No wonder we have a lot more yellow flowers popping up all over the lawns here! hahaha
Rhonda & I took the 2 littler kids to the gymnastics open gym time. They had a blast!! Avery's favorite was the rings. She started out dropping as soon as she was past the platform, but by the time we were done she was swinging out as far as she could before dropping.
Griffin's favorite was the trampoline!

Avery loves her dance class. She still needs to listen to her teacher better,  but is improving! Her recital is in 2 weeks. Should be interesting!!
Avery & Jaxson has also both started a 3 week swimming lesson program. Here is the collage I made of Avery's first day. She loves going!!
Awe, so sad when we have to say good bye to our visitors. We had such a fun time with Guh Goh & Papa!! Come back again soon!
Hip Hop kids being silly
Ummmm so this is how we found Avery one night when we went to check on her before going to bed. Love this girl! She cracks me up on a daily basis!
I love moments like these when my kids get along. I hope it happens more and more and more!!
We met up with friends at the new Children's museum last week. Jaxson the fireman.
The ball area was a big hit with my kiddos.
As was the grocery area ..
Avery and her good friend Reese.
I thought the bubble area was so cool!! Avery did too!
One last picture - just trying to keep this little one occupied while we were waiting for a table at the restaurant. That was our April!!
