Jaxson and his 2 major accomplishments

Jaxson is SUPER talented for 2 reasons. #1. He can suck on his toes, now that is flexibility (he didn't get that from me!) He thinks its quite funny to chew on his feet and look at me cuz I make an "ew" face and him. I love playing with my boy, he just makes his mommy and daddy sooo happy! #2. Jaxson learned how to roll from his back to his tummy. So now when I put him on a blanket and turn my back for a moment, he is usually off the blanket half way across the floor. I am going to need to keep a good eye on this little rascal!

By the Beach in Corpus - I love palm trees!
Just wondering if anyone knows what that red and black bin thingy is behind us. There was another one out in the water. ??
So I chopped my hair off last week to slightly below my shoulders. It was a nice change because it is getting warmer outside. (but its not like I do it now anyway, I just like it in a pony tail cuz then it is out of my face and less warm in this extremly hot state of texas). I also decided to dye my own hair at home ... oops! I didn't quite get the right shade and my roots had an orange tint to them. I will be trying to re-dye my hair within the next few days to see if I can get it a little bit more the color I want ....

Jaxson's First Swim

We have been having some nice (well hot) weather here in Austin. When we aren't having amazing thunderstorms, the weather has been in the low 90's! We thought it was time to let Jaxson take a dip in the pool. He liked it! He would kick his legs and feet when Ryan was playing "motor boat" with him.

Here are the two excited boys before getting in the water.

Me and my baby. This is my new hair cut I got yesterday - thought it was time for a change.
We let Jaxson try his feet in the hot tub.
I think Jaxson loves getting wrapped up in his towel almost as much as bath/swim time. After I pull him out of the bath/pool, he starts kicking his legs and smiles as he gets dried by the towel. such a cute boy!

All-Star Jaxson

Jaxson has been practicing his basketball latley -- he's pretty good. He even will let go of the ball when we put him above the net (well sometimes).
He can get WAY up there ... he even has time to chew on the net for a real big hang time
Here is our little Froggy...Here is our little jordan super star.
This is what I found when I peeked into Jaxson's room to see if he was still sleeping from his nap. Guess not eh! such a cute boy, I just love him! As you can see, he is also getting good at getting out of his swaddle.
Jaxson is doing much better at tummy time now. He likes to roll from his tummy to his back, so he really doesn't get much tummy time unless I am constantly flipping him over. This shot was taken before he really liked tummy time... When Jaxson hated tummy time, one of the only ways to get him to not-scream when he did it was to prop him in front of the TV like in this photo. silly kid!

South Carolina Trip

Last Thursday evening we flew to South Carolina for the weekend. The two plane rides over there went great. Jaxson had fun looking at all the people around him. There were about 4 people making faces at them, and he enjoyed "talking" to them all. We got to Ryan's house around 1 am, but had 3 happy people waiting there to see us (Erika, Lee, and Grandma Riley). Unfortunatley, the airline lost our luggage, but we did get it the next day around dinner. We had a super fun trip, just wish it could have been longer!

We enjoyed showing Jaxson off to everyone at church :) You should have seen how excited Grandma Harbor (aka Rhonda) was showing her grandbaby off to everyone!
4 generation photo of some really really good looking people :)
Another 4 generation picture of more good looking people :)
We enjoyed a couple of hours at the Columbia Zoo. Ryan by the huge alligator.
My favorite!! I love giraffes, and I love feeding them. They are just super cute!

Pure joy right there!
We went to Orangeburg and ate dinner with Grandpa Riley. Another 4 generation picture

Haha oops, back to the zoo. Me showing Jaxson the penguins, another favorite of mine. Feeding the Lorikeets is fun. This one grabbed the nectar cup and made Ryan spill it all over his shirt.
Jaxson wanted to touch the pretty bird. He was really quick and actually touched the bird before I could stop him. Glad the bird didn't bite him back.
Jaxson loved looking at the fishes. I think it's a good excuse to get a big fish tank with super cool fish in it someday (ryan wants a shark and I want a tiny turtle).
Ryan and Jaxson by the caymen (or something like that, its not a croc or an alligator...)
The big turtle!
With Grandma Riley. She just loved holding baby Jaxson. We also have a lot of fun playing "Euchere" with her (she's a really good player too!). I have enjoyed learning the game since being in the Harbor family. Its like saying the Harbor's family card game is Euchere and the Low's family card game is Rook.

4 Month Stats

Jaxson had his 4 month immunizations yesterday (he didn't like them!), but we did get the update on his stats...

15 lbs (50th percentile)
26" long (80th percentile)
42.5 cm head (50th percentile)

and he has a tooth on the bottom that is coming in. (guess that explains all the drooling and fussiness lately).

We just love our little man and the amazing spirit he is. We are so happy to have him in our family!! We are so grateful to our Heavenly Father for allowing us the blessing of raising one of his wonderful children :)

Pterodactyl Jaxson

Jaxson's latest trick is sounding like a dinosaur... we think maybe a pterodactyl. what do you think?
