Just Playing this Week

Ryan's parents came into town this week to spend Christmas with us, so we have been showing them around the area. We are sitting on top of a bull made of rock at the Arboretum shopping center.
Ryan and I by the pond at the Arboretum. We tried to feed these large geese a rice cake, but they didn't like it too much. I actually had one of them take a snap at my toe (and got it) -- I guess I was pushing my luck with I stood to close to them, trying to feed them. haha :)

So we went to San Antonio for a day. This is at the River walk -- we found some birds and fish to feed crackers too -- we always have fun doing that. We also went to the Alamo -- that was neat!

At the river walk with my cute hubby.

We also went to the outlet malls at San Marcos. This picture is for my Mom :) She loves crocs, and there is a croc store at these outlets. The best part was .... everything was buy one, get one free!!

Merry Christmas!!

Wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas!! Thanks for all your love and support :)
Christmas Eve! 38 weeks and 4 days ... any day now. But I told baby Harbor to wait until his due date, so I guess we'll see how obedient he is...

Baby Harbor 37 week Ultrasound

Ryan blew up the face of our little guy so we could see it better. He looks so peaceful!! We are excited to see this little handsome guy in real life. From this picture, we are guessing that he may be a little bit of a chubster -- look at those cheeks!! I guess we'll see in about about 2.5 weeks!
This is the original picture of his face --- with his face labeled. Cute!!

Baby Room Finished!!

The Baby room is finally finished!! Ryan and I put up the rest of the vinyl dot decorations this past week. I have a nice glider chair I can rock and nurse the baby in. We found a really awesome little side table that matches our furniture so well. We still love our crib and its bedding, courtesy of G & G Harbor. So just to visualize the room, one wall is basically that big window, one wall is basically the whole mirror/closet, one wall is the double opening doors, and then we have one blank wall (hence the crib/saying on the wall). Decorating was kinda hard because we didn't have a lot of options of space ... we basically had the one blank wall, and then putting the chair in front of the window was the only option. Regardless, we are really happy with the way it turned out.

Now it is just waiting time .... I am 37 weeks pregnant tomorrow! I actually still feel great and am in no big hurry for baby to come. I would actually like a couple of weeks to relax and have to myself before he comes ... hope he listens to his mommy's request!

Officially Graduated .... I think

This Friday was the last day of my student teaching down here in Austin. In total, I was at Vista Ridge High School for 14 weeks! This is my cooperating teaching Michele Mann. She was an awesome lady to work with and I am so grateful I got to be in her classroom. She knows how to teach well and she loves her students. I feel so blessed to have had the student teaching experience that I did have. I really enjoyed teaching 3 pre-AP biology classes. Of course it was frusterating and tiring at times, but it was a great experience. So as long as everything happens on BYU's end, I am officially done with my University career! I don't think it has hit me quite yet ...

36 Weeks of Prego-ness

Here is the big ol' baby belly after 36 weeks ... only 4 more to go!! I am standing by our glider chair we bought so I can nurse and rock the baby :) We will post more pics of the baby's room when we finally finish.

American Thanksgiving in Canada

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving break this past week. I was able to fly to Canada and spend a whole week up there! It was great to see my family :) Here is a bunch of pictures from the trip.

This is my wonderful mother and my niece Kate. It was Alumni weekend in Cardston. This is where all the people who played high school basketball for Cardston come back and play in a big tournament. I had 4 brothers and a sister playing in the tournament --- so we watched A LOT of games. The bleachers are definitly not soft, but I think I have recovered by now. It was also a nice change not to be playing in the tournament myself -- watching was much more relaxing (I have always gotten nervous before playing basketball).

This is part of my family that was home for thanksgiving. Starting on the left is my older brother Richard, then Karen my younger sister, myself (thanks for the black dress Momma H!), my father, then my older brothers Justin & Jason. My mom and younger bro Dallin were at the church ... and Julie couldn't make it (she's in Wisconsin) & Robbie is on his mission in California.

These are my cute nieces Kate & Kara. They are Justin & Amelia's kids. It was a lot of fun to play with them and their cute personalities.

Justin and his oldest boy Zach. He was also a fun guy to play with. He wasn't very happy here because they were about to leave. Congrats again Justin for getting MVP of the Alumni tournament (his and Richard's team won the whole thing).

Holding Kate at the game. She loved to dance when the music came on -- and she pulls some pretty awesome faces!

The girls watching the game. On the left is my sister-in-law Leslie (Richard's wife), younger but taller sister Karen, me, and sisters-in-law Kamry (Jason's wife) and Amelia (Justin's wife)

Karen and I watching the basketball game. She is one of my best friends -- Love you Karen!!

This is the newest grandbaby. Kamry and Jason added Talia to the family about 2 months ago. She is such a cute and cooperative baby --- hope baby Harbor is just as good :)

Here is my dad holding baby Talia. He is really good with kids .... he had 8 to practice on.

A cute picture of Talia and her Mom Kamry. I love Talia's outfit! Talia is getting ready to stretch (she puts her arms above her head) ... they like to call her Touchdown Talia ... too cute!

This is the best picture from my baby shower .... Amelia you look great, so I thought I would post it. I didn't get a lot of pictures from the shower, and the ones we did get, I looked like the good-year blimp, so I decided not to post them. I will post a 36 week photo on Sunday when I am 36 weeks. Thanks for putting on the shower for me Mom, Amelia, Kamry, Leslie, and Karen -- love you all!

So I gave Zach a present -- a candy filled candy cane ... he didn't seem too interested in the candy -- but he liked the cane part of it -- too funny!

This is my Grandma French (Mom's mom). She was always at my basketball games cheering me on -- it was great to get to see her this past week. Love you Grandma!

Zach after opening his present. So if you haven't noticed, the pictures are way out of order and are very random. If you have any advice on how to organize them, please let me know -- I just upload them, and they are just wherever ... I need blogging help.

I also got to have lunch with and visit my Grandma and Grandpa Low. We also went and did a session at the temple together. It was great to catch up with them -- Love you guys!!

In case you didn't notice, I did get a haircut while I was up in Canada. I am still debating on whether I like the bangs --- they can get pretty annoying, but other times I like them. Oh well, guess I am stuck with them for a while eh?! Well that concludes my trip to Canada -- It was a fun fun time, but I am glad to be back with my best friend Ry Ry :) Love you Hunny!!

Swimming in November

It was about 55 degrees outside yesterday, which isn't exactly swimming weather. But we noticed the hot tub steaming on our way to go work out at the clubhouse. We were both excited to feel that it was warm (because it hasn't been heated in a few months). Sadly, I am not allowed in the hot tub ... and I love love hot tubs. I was a good girl and stayed just on the first step. It was still a lot of fun and we enjoyed relaxing in the tub for a little while.
Side profile of my belly --- 34 weeks

Here is my little hottie hunny. Lucky he was able to get in the water all the way!!

Bringing out the inner Canadian in him, Ryan decided to jump into the regular pool. I imagine it was quite chilly. Before my brother Robbie left on his mission, Robbie, Ryan, and Dallin (my youngest brother) would like to jump in Waterton lake ... which is extremely freezing, I am surprised that there are not ice burgs floating around. I think its a manly thing ... I mean, if you don't dunk your head, you are just not cool. I avoided those little contests, but really enjoyed them pridefully battling out who was the most macho.

Front profile @ 34 weeks. Wish that I still had a little tan from going to seven peaks water park all summer in Provo. Even though it stayed nice and warm down here for a while, I can understand why people in Hott places aren't always tan. Its either too hot, or they are too busy to get a tan. My student teaching has kept me pretty busy, but I only have two more weeks left!!!

** Twillight ** ... I love it!

So I put off reading the Twillight series for about 2 years, because I thought it sounded kinda silly. Just like I put off Harry Potter for so long ... but I loved Harry Potter once I read it. Well, I finished the Twillight series about a month ago -- and I loved them! I am starting to read the third one again, just for some good reading haha. On Friday Ryan and I went to see "New Moon" which is the 2nd book in the series. We both thought it was great and want to see it again. This picture was taken on our way to the car the following day, after we watched the Texas/Kansas football game. I just thought it was a good tribute to vampires and the Volturi. Bet you didn't know I was one of them?!

Ryan seemed to find this sign particularily amusing ... we found it on a random street while we were walking back to the car after the fball game. We thought it was too awesome of a sign to pass up without stopping for a picture.

Chubby Cheeks

Had another ultrasound this week. The baby is doing great! He is another side profile pic of the little guy. Looks like he may have some big lips!

We finally got to see the baby face-on. His cheeks look like they are really big .... maybe he is part chipmunk! We think he is going to be a cutie :)

33 Weeks

Just me and my cute hunny, sitting on the ground in front of the couch. We are here at lot playing two handed-rook. Don't ask him who has been on a winning streak latley, he may get a little upset :)

Just trying to get the right photo to send into America's Next Top Model. Jokes! I was having Ry take pics of me and the big belly. We got this idea to use the fan to blow my hair --- but the pics with the fan and the belly just didn't turn out that well.

I think I have made a big jump in my belly size since 28 weeks ... at least the picture suggests it! So far I have gained ~ 28-30 lbs and the abdomen measurement this week was 32 cm ... that measurement is suppose to be about how far along in the pregnangy I am right??

Just another belly shot. Had to change the outfit though .... because it was a photo shot, I mean you can't stay in the same outfit the whole time right? haha I am a silly girl!

Just a front view ... I like this one because it doesn't look like I am hiding a watermelon under my t-shirt like the side profile pics show.

32.5 Week Ultrasound

This is a side profile of his face. His mouth is open because he was drinking. We were really excited because this was the first time we got to see his face!!

This is his foot. It is already 6.64 cm long (close to 3 inches)! Wow ... I can't imagine how big they will be when he is born ..?? Do they grow a lot the last 2 months?

This is another side profile, but his mouth is shut this time. His hand is right in front of his face. I think he looks like a cutie in this pic!
