March 2017

March is always such a fun month for us with 3 birthdays to celebrate! It seemed like this month flew by, but we definitly had fun while it lasted. Here is what we got up to in March.

On our trip to Utah in late Feburary, Uncle David gave Avery this cake mix cookbook. She looked at all the pages and decided on this cute cupcake sunday. All of her cooking dreams came true when we recreated it in REAL life.
I promise it looked more like the photo until she smashed it against her shirt before the photo ... but just look at that happy smile - genuine joy!
I can't believe I really turned 30! The kids made me a lego birthday cake in the morning, and the kids & Ryan suprised me with roses and a giftcard to get some pedicures!! They sure know how to make a girl feel special!
Jaxson stayed up late and made me this cute rainbow loom bracelet - such a sweet boy!
My IG selfie for my birthday - wish I could pause time and stay this way forever, but I haven't found the fountain of youth yet so I am trying to enjoy each day as they come!
Ryan and I went out for a yummy pork chop lunch date to celebrate my birthday. They had the most amazing bread pudding ... I am dying to go back!
On Saturday, my friends celebrated my birthday at Mt Fuji hibachi grill - yum!!
After dinner, they suprised me with a birthday bake off party at my good friend Maria's house - it was so sweet of them!! I still just smile thinking of how amazing it was for them to plan that for me!

My friend Laura (on the left) got me the shirt I am wearing "I bake ... whats your super power" shirt. Love them!
Such a fun night filled with lots of laughing and sugar!
 Outing with my two littles.
We celebrated Avery's birthday a bit early when I took her to see the new Beauty & the Beast movie - first girls date for us and it was a blast! She was counting down the hours the whole week until we went.

Ryan's birthday was on the Sunday that weekend - so we ate a lot of yummy food & suprised him with new cologne. I happend to have this darling pic of Ryan pop up in my FB news feed too - how cute is he?!
Avery found this rainbow on the ground one morning and immediatly started looking for a leprechaun. I love moments like this and kids sweet innocent spirits!
We hit up DQ for free ice cream cones one day after school. Griffin was loving it!

The rainbow showed up another morning too - this time big brother helped look for the culprit.
We celebrated Avery's birthday again (this time the day before her birthday) with her meal of choice - McDonalds.
Avery thought the cake I made her was pretty awesome.
Definitly could eat that cake again. Dark chocolate cake, peanut butter filling, cookies & cream frosting with M&M's, Reeses peanut butter cups, and kit kats.
Avery officially turned 5! We love this sweet girl and her spunky attitude!
We went for manicures. This was her first time getting them done at a salon (and maybe the last for a long time). She didn't sit still very well.
Avery's best buddy Reese turned 5 the day after Avery did. Almost birthday twins!
 Sharing birthday treats at school.
We celebrated Avery's birthday a day early because Ryan and I went to the Cleveland Cavaliers vs Denver Nuggets basketball game the day of her birthday. I purchased tickets for Ryan way back in December as a Christmas gift so he could see his favorite player - LeBron James - play.
Towards the end of the month we drove down to Colorado Springs to go shopping at the outlets, eat at Tucanos, and go to Garden of the Gods. It was a neat place with cool rocks features - the kids really enjoyed climbing on everything they could see. It was a fun place to visit and it is less than an hour from our house! It was fun to spend some good quality time with Ryan as the kids and I left the following weekend for SC while the kids were on spring break.

Feburary 2017

Feburary was such as fun month for us! We have decided to want to do more trips/traveling as a family and so far we have been loving it! We drove down to Colorado Springs (less than an hour away) to the newly opened Great Wolf Lodge and had an awesome time! Ryan came home a bit early from work and we drove down there and swam the rest of the night and the next day.
The kids each choose a rock candy from the candy shop - yum!
I'm in line for the scary floor-drop waterslide. I was nervous to do it, but glad I mustered up enough courage to go a couple of times.
In the tube ... 3, 2, 1, drop!
Carpet race waterslide.

This boy loved the kiddo water park - especially the jet ski that squirts water at everyone!

Cold & waiting for pizza.
I was so impressed that Jaxson was brave enough to try this waterslide. It may have helped that Ryan bribed him with a gigantic ice cream treat ...

Jaxson thought the ice cream treat was worth it
Seriously this thing was huge!

Pre-Valentine's Day chocolate pancakes with coconut syrup & sprinkles.

Jax put his own sprinkles on a bit heavy handed.
Ryan helped Jaxson make a cool lego valentines box for school  - happy boy!!
Valentine's Day dinner. The kids had fun sitting at the adult table using cutlery :)
 My Valentine! Love you cutie!
This is how I found Griffin one morning when I walked into his room. Sitting on top of his changing table with a blanket on his head - haha!
 Silly boy!
We have had some nice weather this month - One of the days was almost 70 degrees so the kids enjoyed timed outside & riding their bikes.
Last weekend we drove to Utah for the long weekend - it is a decent drive (8 hours) but it was so fun to see Dallin & Julie's family. This is at the base of the Y trail in Provo.
Bowling at teh Wilk with Dallin & Teesha. Ryan was the grand champion followed by Dallin.

Tucano's for lunch -yuuuum!! We celebrated Julie's & Dallin's birthdays so they got to stand up while everyone clapped and sang :)
Nicklecade in Provo is always a hit
 Griffin loved the basketball game
BYU creamery ice cream before the mens volleyball game - these cousins had so much fun together!
 Future cougars meeting cosmo
This little man didn't want to watch volleyball so Ryan took him to another court so he could play basketball.
A big thanks to Julie & Brian for watching the 2 younger kids while Ryan, Jaxson, & I went to the mens BYU basketball game. It was such a fun ( and tiring) day!!
On Sunday, we drove up to see the Croft cousins. It was so good to chat and catch up with them!
This past week the dino hoodie I ordered for Griffin came in. I couldn't help it because he loves anything dinosaur and loves to roar at people.
 Glad he loves it!
Jaxson had his last day of basketball yesterday! I had so much fun watching him play and get better as the season went on. I hope this is the start of him loving basketball as much as his parents do.

This is how I found Griffin last night when I went to check on him. Blankets pulled all the way up to his neck and him tucked nicely inside - this is totally how I sleep too and it drives Ryan nuts! Must be genetic.
