Christmas 2016

We drove to Canada this Christmas to spend time with my family up there. The drive is 14 hours long (not including stops) so we drove through the night and made it there in 15 hours. The roads were perfect - no ice and snow, we couldn't have asked for better conditions driving in December.
Griffin loves both of his Papa's. Its cute to watch him interact with them :)
 Avery making popcorn with Grandma!
Christmas eve day - waiting for the big day tomorrow
We celebrated Kate & Kara's 8th birthday party the day we arrived in Canada (Friday). We went into Lethbridge and went swimming/water sliding & out for a delicious dinner. Then on Christmas eve, we had Justin & Amelia's family over at my parents house and decided to have birthday cake there. No complaints here! It was fun being able to celebrate our cousins birthdays!
 Love this guy!
 Christmas eve jammie time!
 Twinners!
 Cousin PJ's

 New pj's for our family
 At our mini dance party
The dancing turned into wrestling...
 ... and dog piling
We loved spending time with cousins!
Santa found us up in Canada - good thing or the kids would have been sad!

It was a meowy Christmas morning - Mom loved her gift from us. We did get a good reaction with the prank box (nap sack) we put it in too. Hopefully she was happy it was a cat sweater instead of the nap sack the box said it was.
Christmas was on Sunday, so we opened some gifts before church, but then opened the rest once we got home. These kids had so much fun and we had so much fun watching them!
One of Avery's favorite gifts was a bag of chapsticks. She put them on over and over again!
Jaxson got this cool ninja turtle dvd set from Papa & Grandma. The first thing he wanted to do when we got home was watch them. Cool gift!
We had a blast being at my parents for Christmas. Thanks for having us!!
Griffin opened some of his presents right before dinner because he took a nap right after church and missed the second gift opening session. He loved opening boxes - he even unwrapped a couple of Jaxson's before we found him!
The day after Christmas we went cross country skiing. Ryan had never been before, so we took him up to Cameron Lake.
It was so windy and cold up there, we didn't stay long. Usually we sit up there and eat our lunch, but we ate it on the drive up. Good thing too because it would have been miserable in that cold wind!
Dallin & his girlfriend Teesha, and my Dad were the other memebers on this ski trip.
Avery & Jaxson played at their cousin's house while we were skiing. It looked like they had a lot of fun while we were gone!!
On Tuesday morning, Jaxson & Ryan went ice fishing with Justin, Zach, & Dad. It was a neat experience for them and they did catch 1 big fish! Jaxson said his face was too cold, thats why you can't see him.
 Setting up the tent

What a neat experience for these two. Thanks for taking them uncle Justin!
I just thought this was hilarious. We always check on the kids before bed and we found these two snuggling.
On Thursday we went sledding with the crew. Jason & Kamry's family arrive Wednesday afternoon - yay! It was great sledding weather and the kids had a blast.

This kid loved going down the hill with Momma or Dadda.
This girl almost hit the fence because she went down when no one was looking and in the wrong spot. Glad she avoided that crash!

Avery & Addie had a lot of fun playing together. So fun to have cousins so close in age!
Just lunch one day at Grandma's. I have eated countless lunches at that counter.
Making sugar cookies at Aunt Amelia's house. Thanks for making the cookies and hosting us! Yummy!
It was so fun catching up with an old HS basketball buddy. We had some great times playing together!
Jaxson turned 7 while we were up in Canada. We love this boy and the addition he is to our family! He is smart, friendly, and fun!
We celebrated his day by going to the movie Moana, and then eating pizza, oreo cupcakes, and ice cream cake for dessert.
 He was pretty excited!

On Saturday, we were lucky enough to be able to attend Kate & Kara's baptism. I thought it was cute these girls were twinning - white with polka dots!
Can't believe in a year Jaxson will be baptized!
Jaxson & Papa doing legos the day before we left.
Griffin & Grandma doing the shape sorter toy and clock puzzle. We had a great time on our vacation!
This kid on the way home dumped out this bag of popcorn twists .... so messy!! We decided to drive through the night again on the way home - thanks to Ryan. I couldn't stay awake. So this week we have been unpacking, doing laundry, putting Christmas decorations away, organizing, etc. I feel like we are finally back to normal and are already looking forward to our next family trip!
Ryan shared his half pound reeses peanut butter cup with the family - it was a hit!
Jaxson was sweet and helped Griffin open and set up his train track. I love seeing moments like these when my kids are getting along! So long December & Christmas holidays - I will miss you!!
