May 2017

May was a busy month for us working out in the yard and getting it ready for summer! Unfortunately our grass died over the winter and we will have to resod it ... but we are going to wait for the fall (less work over the summer!!). We have been enjoying the sunshine and being able to play outside more. It was a good month but I can't believe we are already into June and almost half way to Christmas again (which Jaxson just reminded me of!).

While Ryan and I work out in the front yard, the kids like to play. They thought rolling around in these tires was awesome.
Had a pit stop at McDonalds while my oil was getting changed. Beats sitting in the waiting room at the car place!
Picking out new trees and bushes for our yard. I thought this picture was precious! Griffin just adores Ryan!
Saddest face ever. So cute and look at those big tears!
The primary presidency suprised us with these cute pictures on Mother's Day morning. What a great idea!

"Mom, take a picture of us!"
Love how these two play together.
We spent a Saturday morning at the Nature & Science museum - always a hit!

Jax make his own "pizza" from a pancake, strawberry sauce, and blueberries.
Crazy hair day at school with Avery's friend, Lisbon.
Griffin wanted a picture too. Always buddy, your smile is the best!
Avery's teacher sent me this picture of her during her preschool field day. Crawling through the tunnel.
We had a spontaneous picnic & family outing at the Aurora Resevoir one evening. It is such a beautiful place and so neat that it is so close by!

Last day of Preschool for this girl!
 At her graduation
What an amazing year of learning! Avery is a pretty good little reader and can count to 100! We are so proud of her :)

Lunch date with Ryan to a burger joint nearby. This burger was massive & delicious.
Trip to the Denver zoo - a fun place we all like to visit.

These black bears were so close - it was awesome!

Griffin having a snack and a show. So close to this gorilla ... thank goodness for really thick glass that wont break!

I helped subbed in nursey and couldn't help but snap this pic of Griffin.
Memorial Day parade! I took the kids and left the majority of the day so that Ryan could stay here with some people working on the house.
We also made a stop at a famous breakfast joint called Snooze - yum!
Jaxson started swim team this week. 6:30 am practices! We have been gettting up at 5:45 and it has been exhausting but fun. Avery & Griffin are good sports and enjoy riding their bikes while Jaxson swims. Just look at that dimple!
Jason had his "booth day" at school on Friday. Each student had to come up with a carnival type game, food, etc. and be in charge of earning (fake) money to open the booth and to earn money to spend at other booths. It was so neat! We enjoyed watching Jaxson do his game and spending some of his money to play other games & buy yummy treats.
Jaxson has his first swim meet after just a week of practice. We are so proud of him and how hard he swam! I am excited to see how he progresses this summer and becomes a stronger swimmer! Hopeully we can get Avery comfortable enough in the water to be on swim team next year too.
Sitting in the sun inbetween races.
 Fueling up
The kids (Avery, Griffin, a friend) huddled under a towel playing the ipad. Our first swim meet was a good experience and I am excited for the next one ... which is a good thing because we have one every Saturday for the next 4 weeks!
