October 2018

I always think October is such a fun month. This year was no exception. The kids loved picking out their own costumes at target. Griffin picked the chicken costume, Avery was a snow princess with rainbow hair, and Jaxson went as Peter Quill from Guardians of the Galaxy.

Griffin in is that stage of "Mommy take a picture of me." So here we are at Papa Murphy's picking up pizza and Griffin is holding the cookie dough. Then at Lowe's in front of the lighted penguin (he wanted to show Jaxson), and then at the gym where we play hide and go seek in the womans locker room.

The first weekend in October we enjoyed watching General Conference and going to the "pumpkin chunkin" contest. We watched several huge trebuchet's launch 8lb pumpkins a looooong ways. It was really neat to watch (when you could actually follow the pumpkin with your eyes ... sometimes they went too fast).

Jaxson liked the one painted like the death star.

Ryan spear headed the pumpkin carving at our house this year. The kids loved the way theirs turned out. We enjoyed them on our porch until the frost came and turned them to mush.

We drove over to Golden to enjoy some of the beautiful fall colors. The walk around the river is really pretty and the kids love exploring this area.

Avery was "spotlighted" in primary and was given a ring pop as a prize. Wow .... messy girl. Not surprised though.
We got our first good snow and the kids were so excited to go out and play in it.
The kids had a week of fall break so we were playing everyday. The kids loved this day to the children's museum.  Griffins big brown eyes here just kill me. You can have whatever you want buddy!
Avery has been really cute to be making pictures for me latley :)
We did a kids cooking class at the museum - sweet potato sushi roll. Avery was in heaven because she has always wanted to do it.

Another day we played at the nature & science museum - the kids loved the new puzzle/mind games exhibit.

This is how we found Griffin walking to the car. If I had pulled my camera out sooner it would have been even better. Funny kid!
Rhonda held down the fort while Ryan and I were in Hawaii. The kids had so much fun with her and we are so grateful they got to spend so much time with their GuhGoh. This is before the ward trunk or treat.

 Candy haul round 1.
Trick or treating on Halloween. We got a fair amount of snow the day before ... glad it mostly melted so trick or treating was a bit easier! I remember putting on our costume over our snow suit in Canada most Halloween days growing up.

This was the day before Ryan and I got home from Hawaii. Love these darling crazy kiddos of mine!
Thanks again GuhGoh for watching our babies and taking them to do fun things! They loved it!
