I love waking up to this!

You probably thought I was going to say Breakfast in bed, whole grain eggo waffles with nutella, or a clean house (which I do) ... but I was meaning my oh-so-cute-and-silly boy Jaxson. He is super happy in the morning (well he is happy all the time)!! Lately he has been sleeping into 8am (HOORAY!), and it has been soooo nice to sleep in the late. Anway, when I hear Jaxson is awake, I go in his room and he is just so happy. I pick him up and he gives me the biggest hug, then he starts kicking his legs and giggling. It is serisously my favorite part of the day.

Look at this kid ... don't you want to pick him up and pinch his cheeks?! haha ok ok, I will stop bragging on his cute-ness.

haha this one cracks me up. Rememeber, he had only seen light for about 20 seconds before I took this picture.
Ryan got a good picture of our vampire man.
Jaxson woke up from a nap one time like this. In the next picture you will see that he has his leg through the crib rails, and he was kicking his baby einstein entertainer toy. I was out in the kitchen and heard this weird tapping noise, and this is what I found.

Jaxson finally got his eye surgury this morning! His left tear duct is now unclogged! yaaaa. When they brought him out of the operating room back to me, he had a happy face drawn on his head. ???? It is kinda hard to see, but its there.

Have an awesome day :)

He's a vampire.

Ryan and I have this joke that He is a wearwolf and I am a vampire. He is always hot and wants to open the window at night (even though it is literally freezing outside). My hands, feet, and nose are almost always freezing ... they feel like Ice (I guess that just goes along with me being Team Edward and Ryan being team J.. jks)

So we finally figured out what Jaxson is. A vampire. Take that everyone who says Jaxson is Ryan's little clone! Obviously I had something to do with it because Jaxson is a vampire. Evidence? He has his fangs. Jaxson currently has 6 teeth. 4 on the bottom, and his 2 fang teeth. (I secretly hope his other front teeth come in so he can chew his food better). For those of you have met Jaxson, you know his has so much energy. Well, it was hard for me to try and get a picture of this nut and his teeth. Here's what I got...

Ok, so I couldn't get many good pictures of Jaxson's tooth, oh well. Here is what else he has been up to. Ryan and I gave him this little sit-on-car-toy for his birthday. He loves it, although he hasn't quite figured out how to peddle himself yet.

Loving his birthday singing book from Grandpa & Grandma Low.
His new favorite word - BALL. Its the first word we hear in the morning & the last one we hear at night.
Sometimes Jaxson will disappear from the kitchen/living room and it goes quite. I hurry down the hall to make sure Jaxson is ok and isn't getting into anything he shouldn't. I love it when I find him doing this in his room. He loves books!
He also loves my Water cup. He is always pointing at it until I give it to him. Then he sets it down, squats, and picks it up and proceeds to drink (what a funny routine, but so cute to see a 1 year old doing it).
Today after breakfast.
He is getting really good with his sippy cups and almost never drinks from a bottle :) I am glad it wasn't hard to wean him from it -- he basically weaned himself. Now, in a few months when I decide to take away his paci, I hope it is just as easy. (cross fingers*)
Just a little video. Jaxson loves to do this popping noise with his mouth - you can see it towards the end of the video when he is next to the couch. We love our cute Jaxy Bear!

Jaxson's 2nd First Birthday

So for a week now, I have been trying to figure out what I can blog about. Well Jaxson had a birthday party here in Texas, and I totally forgot I didn't blog about it! Oops. So here it is ....

"Birthday" boy himself.
Some of the food spread...
Getting ready for his party

He really hates having anything (hats, toques, etc.) on his head
Excited for his cupcake, although he didn't dig into it the same way as he did on his birthday up in Canada

Opening presents ....
Jaxson's face is priceless here. He loves that book!
All the kids enjoyed "helping" Jaxson open his presents.

A Giant Christmas Post

We had such a fun Christmas break! Its sad that its over, but we really enjoyed all the family we were able to spend time with, all the card games we played, and all the yummy food we ate (which was a lot!). Here is a bunch of photos from our Christmas ...

We had our own little mini Christmas before we left to Canada. Most of Jaxson's toys were too big, so we had him open them at our place in Austin. We also taught him how to unwrap presents so he would know what to do up in Canada. Here is Jax with one of his toys (which ironically, we took back. He got to open it, which is the funnest part right?)
He loves this music set.
Grrr. sorry I forgot to rotate this one. Jax and Papa. (aka, my dad).
Grandma gave Jaxson his very own stocking! & Jaxson is "Santa's little Helper" according to his Pj's.
Christmas eve.
Opening sibling gifts.
We gave Mom & Dad their big Christmas present. It was a memory book from all 8 of his kids and the 5 in-laws. There were over 700 memories and 400 photos. Awesome! Julie (my sis) did an amazing job at organizing the whole book.
Wow. I guess this is what happens when there are 21 people at the house.
Christmas Morning!
Jaxson loved playing with his cousin Zach's Handy Manny tool bench...
...and buzz lightyear toy. He loved them both!

Ipod and mint oreos .... this is one happy man.

Jaxson and his cousin Kara. Cute kids!
Jaxson playing with his cousin Claire. I love her curly hair!
My beautiful Sister Karen holding Jaxson.
Diaper Dance Party. We had 3 or 4 while we were up there, and they we awesome. So funny to watch these kids "dance."
Jaxson and Talia performing "Thriller" by MJ.
Jaxson loved Grandma's cane. He would go up to it and start shaking it.
Ryan and Justin played in the "Hill Spring Boxing Day Tournament." They won their first 2 games, then was winning until the 4th quater in the final. They lost by 5 :( Sad. On a happy note, Ryan played really well and scored the team all-star.
Me & my all-star
Jaxson and Kara again. Waiting to go to Lethbridge to go swimming.
Me & Karen at the pool.
On Jaxson's birthday.
Aunty Karen and Uncle Dallin.
Jaxson and cousin Kate.

Jax and Ry under the raining mushroom.

Jaxson loved chewing on the rope.
On the way home, we stopped at Costco. We ordered Poutine, and was it ever delicious!! (p.s. I crocheted that hat .... Leslie showed us all how)
We stopped by G & G Low's house before we left Cardston. Grandma was showing us her snow globes -- Jax loved them.
Grandpa is so funny. Jaxson is just cracking up as Grandpa puts blocks on his head.
Jaxson also loved playing the keyboard at Grandma's house.

The Cardston Temple! This is where Ryan and I were married.
Jaxson being the cute silly kid he is. He was just chasing the cat (which he loved).
Grandma (aka my mom) attempting to read to Jaxson. But then Jax saw the cat and it was all over.

Is there any way to put videos in the middle of photos? Anyway, here is Ryan taking Jaxson down the slide at the pool.

Thanks for a Wonderful Christmas vacation Mom & Dad!!
