October 2018

I always think October is such a fun month. This year was no exception. The kids loved picking out their own costumes at target. Griffin picked the chicken costume, Avery was a snow princess with rainbow hair, and Jaxson went as Peter Quill from Guardians of the Galaxy.

Griffin in is that stage of "Mommy take a picture of me." So here we are at Papa Murphy's picking up pizza and Griffin is holding the cookie dough. Then at Lowe's in front of the lighted penguin (he wanted to show Jaxson), and then at the gym where we play hide and go seek in the womans locker room.

The first weekend in October we enjoyed watching General Conference and going to the "pumpkin chunkin" contest. We watched several huge trebuchet's launch 8lb pumpkins a looooong ways. It was really neat to watch (when you could actually follow the pumpkin with your eyes ... sometimes they went too fast).

Jaxson liked the one painted like the death star.

Ryan spear headed the pumpkin carving at our house this year. The kids loved the way theirs turned out. We enjoyed them on our porch until the frost came and turned them to mush.

We drove over to Golden to enjoy some of the beautiful fall colors. The walk around the river is really pretty and the kids love exploring this area.

Avery was "spotlighted" in primary and was given a ring pop as a prize. Wow .... messy girl. Not surprised though.
We got our first good snow and the kids were so excited to go out and play in it.
The kids had a week of fall break so we were playing everyday. The kids loved this day to the children's museum.  Griffins big brown eyes here just kill me. You can have whatever you want buddy!
Avery has been really cute to be making pictures for me latley :)
We did a kids cooking class at the museum - sweet potato sushi roll. Avery was in heaven because she has always wanted to do it.

Another day we played at the nature & science museum - the kids loved the new puzzle/mind games exhibit.

This is how we found Griffin walking to the car. If I had pulled my camera out sooner it would have been even better. Funny kid!
Rhonda held down the fort while Ryan and I were in Hawaii. The kids had so much fun with her and we are so grateful they got to spend so much time with their GuhGoh. This is before the ward trunk or treat.

 Candy haul round 1.
Trick or treating on Halloween. We got a fair amount of snow the day before ... glad it mostly melted so trick or treating was a bit easier! I remember putting on our costume over our snow suit in Canada most Halloween days growing up.

This was the day before Ryan and I got home from Hawaii. Love these darling crazy kiddos of mine!
Thanks again GuhGoh for watching our babies and taking them to do fun things! They loved it!

Sept 2018

Our September started off with a quick trip to Myrtle Beach to spend a few days with Ryan's family. The kids and I met Ryan at the airport - these kiddos were pretty excited for me to take them out of school. The flight was good
The kids loved playing on the beach.
Master minow catchers
The kids requested a big hole down to the water level, so Ryan & Erika made it happen.
Big enough for all of the cousins.
Mermaid Avery - she loved it if you couldn't tell.

The kids made fruit loop necklaces inside when we needed a break from the sun.
We did the pirate show and it was a highlight for everyone! The stunt divers were so cool to watch. Avery's favorite was the mermaids and giantic jewels in the treasure box.
Playing in the tide pools.

After the kids were in bed for the night, we would go down to the beach and hunt for shark teeth - it was very tedious but fun whenver you found one. Jackpot!
Mini Golf with the whole gang.

Love these babies of mine
This guy got not one, but 2 holes in one!!!

Quick selfie with the whole group before we left to the airport. Fun vacation - lets do it again soon!
Primary Program Sunday. These cuties all did great and I loved listening to them sing! They also made me laugh and cringe when they were turned around during the song, jumping up and down, and touching their neighbors jewelry or tie. Gotta love them.

Avery lost her first tooth the night before wacky Wednesday - worked perfect for her outfit. She was so excited but I want time to slow down!
Park date with my Grif.
Avery & Jaxson had their fundraiser run at school mid September. Unfortunately, Avery twised her ankle on the 2nd lap so didn't get to run like she wanted ... but still got 22 laps and did great.
Griffin enjoyed running with all of the kids from school.
Glad that this cutie let me hold his hand and drag him around the track until he got at least 32 laps (2 miles). He ended with 33.
"Look Momma, I am climbing on hot dogs." I love hearing how my kids view the world - it is so cute! Playing at the park before picking up his siblings from school.
We had a visit from Ryan's great uncle on Saturday - it was really nice to meet them!
The kids went to a birthday party with a magic show on Saturday. The magician was actually really awesome! Jaxson got asked to come up and be the helper - he was given a lie detector test and we found out he has 5 girlfriends! Haha, we all thought it was funny and Jaxson was a good sport about it.
Our ministering Brother dropped off some fun halloween crafts for the kids, so this was the highlight of their Sunday afternoon. Just look at those faces of concentration!

Yay for October! We have a lot of fun things coming up ... fall break & Hawaii - can't wait!
