June 2015 - South Carolina Vacation

June has been a great month so far! We went on a fun vacation to see Ryan's family in South Carolina, but first a few photos the week before we left.

The boys - love them!.  Jaxson's new obsession is pokemon. Guh God Harbor sent him this shirt and he loves it.
Just thought Griffin's hand position was cute.
Learning how to get up on all 4's! I bet in the next couple of weeks this guy will be crawling!
Brothers doing tummy time
Ok, onto our trip to South Carolina.... what a day of traveling.  Griffin happened to dirty his diaper 6x throughout the day and Avery managed to throw up all over herself (shirt and shorts) during our first flight. Good  thing it smelled like the doughnut she just ate, or we would have all been in trouble.

Where do I begin about this subject.  See all the crumbs and mess on the kids clothing/chair?  They (mainly Jaxson actually) are the messiest eaters ever. I have been asking them to keep their mouths closed while they chew their food, hence the photo.  Any other suggestions to help kids eat a bit cleaner?
Ready to board the plane.  This kid loves his luggage!
Ryan's mom sure knows how to spoil her grandkids, Jaxson and Avery had their own beds set up with custom bedding.  Jaxson loves his new picachu blanket!!
Avery had princess bedding and a princess peppa pig stuffed animal - so fun! Thanks Guh Goh & Papa!!
Playing carpenter with the fun toys in the kids bedroom.
Avery managed to fall onto the pavement outside the night we got to SC. I love this girl, but she falls A LOT.
Riding plasma cars in the driveway

Avery giving cousin Noah a tight squeeze in between car races ... awe!

On Thursday we drove up to NC to the great wolf lodge. The kids LOVED it (we did too!). They were each given wolf ears and a balloon sword when we walked into the lobby - they were instantly hooked.
This big boy got to sleep on the top bunk
They thought it wsa Griffin's birthday so we got the fancy wolf ears (it was actually Christine's birthday, but I don't think they give out ears to 26 year olds).
Off to explore the outlet mall across the street.
Avery turned her sword into a tail.
What a long day of driving, swimming, and shopping.
In the morning ready to head to the pool.  How fun is area for the kids. They even had their own tv!

Headed to the water park!
Kid slides for Avery and I
The kids had so much fun, we might just have to go back!
Papa was a good sport and held Griffin a lot so we could ride the slides too.

Trying to run across the lily pads without using the rope or falling. I will let you guess if Ryan made it or not.
Helping Avery across.
What a good boy - he just slept when he was tired and didn't fuss at all.  He is a champ!
Avery was cold so Papa warmed her up.

Grabbing a quick treat before heading back to SC. Guh Goh and Papa bought the kids stuffed wolf's as a souvenir.

The kids loved riding on Papa's tractor.

Saturday we rented a boat and played on the lake. This is Ryan and Jordan enjoying the tube.
Once again, this kid is a champ. He just slept when he was tired and didn't cry at all.
We stopped several times to take a swim break. We jumped off the boat backwards in hopes of a good picture. Thanks Erika, you did good!

It was beautiful day and we enjoyed the lake!
No hands!

Dare devil, no hands again!

Avery and I taking a turn.
Sunday before church. It was nice to have someone to take a picture of all of us. Love this family of mine!!
Sunday night we went to Grandma Riley's house to look at the look and find village she set up in her garage. The kids loved finding all of the fun treasures. This is Jaxson watching the video Grandma Riley made for them before seeing the village.
Fun!
Ryan grew up in a beautiful place!
twins!
Monday we went to the Columbia zoo. I always think feeding the lorakeets are fun.
Avery and Noah riding the tiger
This happy kid melts my heart.
Our friends (Jacquee, Claire, and Hans) came down from Augusta to meet us and enjoy the zoo.  These 2 use to play together all the time in San Antonio, so it was great to see them again.  Claire use to call Jaxson "her little buddy" but he is now the same size. What a difference a year makes!
Feeding the giraffe's - my favorite! They are such pretty animals.

Avery was scared to touch it, but Ryan was able to get her to do it.
"Mommy, take a picture!"
Jaxson and Claire capped off the zoo trip doing the rock climbing wall. Jaxson made it half way up and then asked to stop (he later regretted that decision). Claire was went up to the top - impressive!

He did well for his first time. Next time we will remember to bring running shoes.
Grabbing a bite to eat at our favorite - Chic fil a - before parting ways. It was great to catch up and visit!
Last night in SC. We went to California Dreamin' for dinner and enjoyed their amazing house salad with their amazing house dressing (hot bacon and honey mustard) .... nom nom nom. Thanks for the fun trip everyone!
Dance party on the patio before leaving.

We met Papa (Papa's Dad (Ryan's grandpa)) for lunch at lizards thicket before heading to the airport. It was great seeing him and chatting.  Griffin's middle name comes from Papa - Bailey. It was special that they finally got to meet each other.
4 generation photo.
At the airport saying goodbye. Thanks for the fun Trip Guh Goh! Avery was a bit tired and was taking a quick snooze while we grabbed the luggage out of the car. Luckily the flights home were uneventful, just l-o-n-g! It was a fun trip, we will have to do it again soon!
