Is it really almost October?! Another month has flown by ... in some ways. Since my knee injury, everything seems to be taking forever (aka ... healing and getting back to normal) but at the same time, I can't believe we are almost through another month.
This was taken before we went to meet Jaxson's kindergarten teacher -- Mrs.Flores. He was a bit nervous (not normal for him) at first, but after we met her and saw his classroom, he couldn't wait to go back!
Grabbing some yummy ice cream after seeing his school. I am still trying to wrap my brain around the fact I have a kindergartner.
Avery's favorite way to swing. Griffin doesn't love it as much, but you can't tell that from the photo - he smiles like this all the time.
Piggies for Avery! We have since cut her hair in attempts to get the front growing longer :)
9 month photos for this cutie! My mom calls him Guy Smiley. He does like to smile, and I love it!
In Texas, September is still hotter than most other state's summer months. It has been in the 90's all month, so the kids have still been enjoying summer activities. I, on the other hand, really wish fall would come.
Jaxson was one excited boy. He still loves it after a month in. He thrives being around other people his age and lives for the interaction. His teacher says he is doing an amazing job and is passionate about learning. We love this kid!
One of Jaxson's good friend from church is in his class. Lucky Boy!
Jaxson's desk at school. He is at the red table - his favorite color!
We got to walk him to class for the first time and stay for a few minutes - it was cute to see him in his school environment.
Of course, this little guy was happy and didn't complain one bit.
Before I left him for his first official day. 7:45-2:45 full day kinder. He wasn't sad one bit and was excited to start, which made things a lot easier for me to leave him there.
Someone likes oreos ... this kid is so adorable. I am grateful for the happiness and smiles he brings into this family!
9 year anniversary date! Shopping for jewelry, dinner & a movie! Happy 9 years Ryan!
Avery couldn't wait to start preschool again. This is at meet-the-teacher. Ms. Amber was really nice and Avery is happy to be in her class with so many of her friends from church.
She was one excited little girl!
Love the pose. I surprised her with these pink sparkley shoes and she was in heaven. They are a pain to get on and off though ...
There were a few people pretty excited that college football started up again! Go Carolina Gamecocks and BYU Cougars!
People ask me all the time if Griffin is this happy all the time. Yep! He is seriously happy 98% of the time. He smiles all the time, all I have to do is say his name and look at him. I can't handle the cuteness ... that is why you get a lot of photos that are very similar - I couldn't decide which was the best one.
Griffin also loves to take bathes. When he isn't bathing, he likes to look over the edge of the tub and talk to whoever is bathing.
A couple weekends ago we went exploring in Pedernales state park. It was good to get out and explore and the kids loved it!
After exploring the rocks, we went down to the river to swim. It was a fun adventure for us. We tend to stay inside for at least half of the year because it is so hot outside, so we are trying to get out of our shell a bit (or have the weather cool down a bit).
Ryan and Jaxson fixed up this bike and we are on a mission to help Jaxson learn how to ride without training wheels. Any suggestions/tricks you know? I can't really help out because it is too much stress on my knee right now. I hope I feel back to normal again soon.
Just snapped a few photos of this cutie before church ...
Picture day at school. The teacher told me they were taking the photos after recess ...?! What, terrible idea! Good thing Avery had her back to school photos taken by a friend a couple of weeks ago. I will post them in my next blog post.
One of his favorite places to be. I have even found him chewing on the tile edge - yikes! Don't break your teeth little dude.
Just in case you needed one more smiling pic of Griffin ...
