May 2019

May was a busy whirlwind month - super fun and flew by! We started with a trip to Great Wolf Lodge on a Thursday night when the kids didn't have school Friday. We invited another family to meet us there and the kids had the best time swimming with their friends. We were at the pool about 14 hours in 2 days! This is Griffin's excited face as we drove down to Colorado Springs. He asks daily if we can go to Great Wolf Lodge - glad we could make his dreams come true!

Avengers came out this month - we took the kids and they did pretty well. Awesome movie too!
Just love it when I find Griffin entertaining himself quietly in his room - it is so sweet!
Cutting onions one night prepping dinner and I mentioned my eyes were burning to the kids. Griffin immediately ran upstairs and grabbed his minion goggles to help protect my eyes. What a sweetheart!
Our beautiful Avery in front of our blooming crab apple tree.
Avery missed her zoo field trip so we suprised her during her lunchtime at school. Griffin gave her the biggest hug ever.
Booth day! It's the funnest day for the first graders. Each student earns paper money for several weeks and then they each sell an item, service, or game on booth day. Avery sold rainbow sprinkled cookies and all 3 kids had a blast buying the goodies! It was so fun watching them enjoy it so much.
 Avery's loved her balloon flower
Griffin paid money to play a cheap video game
My favorite prize was a poloroid picture of my & my 2 littles. Priceless!
We are enjoying the warmer weather - our first bonfire of the year. It was tasty and super fun.
Griffin's favorite is always the marshmellows. I don't blame him one bit.

Saturday before Mother's day brunch at Kneaders with my favorite people.
Love these babies and the opportunity I have to be their Momma. They bring me so much joy & happiness!!

Griffin at the gym locker room. His loves playing hide and seek there but his favorite thing is telling me the wrong area he is hiding in ... he gives me the biggest smile like this when he is fibbing.
Field day at school! Griffin and I loved watching Jaxson have fun with his classmates. Griffin loved joining in when he could.

Avery's field day was the following day. Griffin told me he was so excited to get to go play games again.

 Melt my heart!
Griffin's favorite was the sac racing.
Avery was recognized at school for working hard this year and always being safe. Way to go Avery!!
Paws, the Pine Ridge Elementary mascott.
Griffin and I made a quick trip downtown to play with a friend at the Nature and Science museum before school was out for the summer.
Last day of 1st & 3rd grade. It is so bittersweet for me. I love to watch them grow but I get so sad thinking that I can't stop time and keep my kids this young forever.

After school freezies given by the crossing guards.
To celebrate school being out, we met Daddy downtown for donuts & a trip to the science museum.
The kids favorite part of the museum was playing in the fountains out back. Ryan even got in on the action in his work clothes and we all had a great time.

Memorial Day weekend. We talked to the kids about the importance of the day & then headed up north to enjoy some shopping and amazing playground at the new outlets.

When we got back home, we hit the pool for about 15 minutes before it turned cold and rainy. It was a great family day!
I found Griffin sleeping like this a few days ago. Funny boy!
Ryan & I went out for dinner and to see Wicked (for the 3rd time since being married). It did not disappoint and we loved every minute of it except for the tiny seats we sat in. Big people problems.

We had our first swim meet of the season (with only 1 practice due to cold weather). The kids did awesome and swam faster than last year. So proud of both of you! Jaxson rocked the backstroke and got 1st in his heat and qualified for all stars!
Lastly, we found a couple of foxes roaming in our yard last night. Pretty animals but glad they got out. They have been known to chew our sprinkler lines to shreds.
