Fabulous Friday & Football

"Hoooooooook em' Horns!" Ryan and I went to the Texas/University of Central Florida game yesterday. It was a beautiful day --- about 75 degrees outside. We enjoying a little geology school tail gating before the game. They fed us some delicous breakfast tacos and fresh fruit. The game was good. Our team always seems to take a little while to get into it before they start playing for reals. We ended up smashing them (42-3 i think). Looks like Texas has a pretty good chance at going to the National Championships!!

Ryan was trying to palm my tummy. HA! it is getting too big for him though ... just wait till I am 38 weeks pregnant -- he won't even be close!

Baby Harbor is already a huge sports fan. He likes to attend the football games with me (and soon to be basketball games) .... We are just trying to train him while he is young so when he is playing in the NFL or NBA, he can support his parents :)

Not so good thing about the football game. We got pretty sunburnt! I guess because it wasn't scoarching hot outside, we didn't even really think that this would happen. Although, I did ask Ryan before we left the house, "Do you think we need sunscreen?" He replied No. Well, in his defense, we weren't planning on staying the whole game, but when some friends of ours showed up, we ended up staying the full 4 hours or so.

This picture is definitly in a different lighting, but I am just as burnt as Ryan. It is funny because the burn is mostly on the left sides of our faces because that was the direction the sun was hitting us. When I woke up this morning, I thought it was Christmas because Rudolf the red-nose reindeer was looking back at me in the mirror. I wasn't too upset because I love the Christmas season, and anything that helps me think of that time of the year makes me HAPPY!

Speaking of Christmas, there are only 47 days left!!! These are some countdown blocks I made at the Fabulous Friday activity the Relief Society just had. I have always loved doing crafts, and this was awesome. I had another scrapbooking project to do, but of course I didn't have enough time to work on it. Hope I can find time before the baby comes! I am also sad that the Relief Soceity program is moving away from the "enrichment & homemaking" activies .... those are my favorite! At least I got to attend the last one and make this cute craft. I will just have to do my own fabulous fridays and super saturdays at my house to keep my creative juices flowing.

At the fabulous friday, there was a holiday baking/cooking demo. They had a bunch of fondu pots with frosting, trays of partially frozen cake balls, and sprinkles/decorations. I had fun making these cute little sucker/lolipops. I chose to make a snowman and a Christmas tree. The best part about these treats are they are delicious! The cake inside was so moist --- yum yum! Unfortuantly, I only made 2 and I just ate the last one :(

Happy Halloween

The baller & biker after getting back from the ward Halloween party. I know, I know, we have really amazing-well-thought-out-costumes! I am sporting my Dwight Howard jersery because he is my favorite NBA player & Ryan found his sweet Honda jacket. We started getting ready about 30 minutes before the party started :) My clothing options are getting slimmer and slimmer as my pregnancy progresses ... wish I could wear my gym shorts & big T-shirts to do my student teaching! Just don't think that would go over really well.
Here is my cutie ... what a stud!

Just having fun, posing next to our flashy red sports car (aka..ford taurus) & me pretending I still have muscles. I am going to hit the gym after the baby is born and see if I can get my muscles back!

Ducky Ducky

So for as long as I can remember, I have always loved duckies. I saw this little outfit at the store and had to get it for baby harbor. My favorite part is the little ducky footsies. He will be a stud wearing this!!

This is a ducky basket holding the socks/hats that the baby has right now. And I loved this lamb when I was in New Zealand, so I had to get it for the baby (and me) ... it is a perfectly round and very soft little toy -- love it!

Temple Trip to S.A.

Ryan and I decided to take a trip to the San Antonio Temple yesterday. We did an endownment session and really loved it. It was nice and cool in the rooms, so that is always a plus for both of us. It took us almost 2 hours to get to the temple from our house. We definitly are not use to that! Growing up, the temple was 3 blocks from my house. In Provo, we could drive to the temple in 10 minutes tops. Since being married, Ryan and I have attended the temple once a month ... until we moved here. Now it is a "bigger deal" to take a trip down there, but I think it will make us realize how much we love going to the temple and what a blessing it is in our lives. When the baby arrives, it will be an even bigger challenge to make it to the temple, but we are both willing to do what we can to still attend as much as we can. The temple is an amazing place and I am so grateful for the covenants Ryan and I have made to each other. I can't wait to spend eternity with my amazing husband!

I thought the Moroni statue on the top was quite big compared to ones I have seen on other temples. I liked it! This temple is a smaller one, and it was built in 2005.

So Ryan and I were taking pictures of ourselves in front of the temple, you know the one where Ryan holds it as fas away as possible, and we get a shot of our heads? Well a lady stopped us and asked if she would like one with both of us. We said that would be great. The first picture she took was all us, and no background. Then she was like, "Oh, did you want the temple in the background?" Just thought that was a slightly funny question.

Baby Harbor is really growing! At our last ultrasound, he was in the 59th percentile of how babys at this stage of pregnancy. So for right now he is average, but I am thinking that might change in the next ten weeks.

This is the picture we got before the lady helped us get one of us .... and the temple! :)

2 of my Favorites: Pink & Volleyball

Ryan and I decided to go and watch the Texas Longhorn's Women's volleyball team play this week. I believe they are ranked in the top 3 in the nation. It was also their breast cancer awareness night. Of course, we sported the pink shirts :) They gave out these fun pink Texas pom-pom things to cheer with. It was a fun night & Texas beat Missouri pretty soundly. Their games only went to 25 though, and I thought at BYU they went to 30 (or was that just the boys)??
Me in my hotter pink, and Ryan with his lighter pink. What a good looking couple! :)

Just playing around with the pom-poms. I think this hair style really looks good on Ryan. Business in the front, party in the back. Looks like a pretty sweet mullet if you ask me!

So the pink hair didn't look quite as good on me.

We had to get a picture with the pink hair with each member of the family. It didn't really stick on Baby Harbor's head too well. Oh well, it was a great night and we enjoyed it!
