Summer Vacation, Part 2

Next stop on our vacation was Echo Lake, Montana. I spent several weeks there every summer since the time I was 11 years old. It is my favorite place to go when summer rolls around and I was so excited we got to go this year. I was really looking forward to wake boarding and water skiing, but unfortunately those dreams will have to wait another year due to my knee injury. The kids still loved the lake and playing with cousins, and I really enjoyed watching them enjoy my favorite place.

Ipad games & snuggles.

Griffin loved the water! Even though it was much colder than the pools he is used to, he thought it was great. He loved to wave his hand around and splash and float in the water with his lifejacket (and an adult holding him upright, of course).
Papa and Griffin

Love this picture!
Jaxson and Avery loved doing the easy ski behind the boat.
Just waiting on the boat to take off, Jaxson and Talia had so much fun together!

This is how it works ... someone in the boat holds one end while the kid on the ski holds the other.
Pro!

Jaxson's trick - no hands!

My boys!
Jaxson had a quick try of knee boarding. It didn't quite work out, so we will practice and try again next year. Although he has asked me several times if he has to try again next year ... I think he is a bit nervous.

Lake Kids. They love it too!
Ryan got a quick water ski in - still has it!

We also loved zooming around the lake on the jet ski's. Avery & Jaxson loved to go really fast and jump over the waves.
Oh Avery. Of course she had to hurt her face (again) because we had some more family pictures coming up. Love this crazy adventurous girl of mine.

Awe, Jaxson loves to hold Griffin.
Cousin tube time! They all loved it and would probably go on for hours if we let them,

Griffin's other favorite place to play. It was perfect for him because it was only a couple of inches deep.
Avery wanted to go on the jet ski 24/7.
Even Griffin had a small turn.
Bedtime snuggles
Look at Avery's hand. Thumbs up. She would always ask to go faster as the boat was slowly taking off from the dock.

The kids alone weren't heavy enough to get the tube in and out of the wake, so the adults took turns going on the tube rides too.

Jason & Ryan had a turn on the big boy tubes - I think they had a great time!

Tricky - no hands and standing up! Impressive! Notice how Avery isn't on the tube. On a ride earlier in the day she decided to let go briefly as the tube was going over the wake. She flew off and was pretty scared. I panicked pretty good too even though I knew she had a life jacket - it still scared me to death.

One last day of swimming before heading to Utah.
Farewell Echo, it was fun!
