Our Cutie Boy

I love waking up to my little smiley boy! I must confess, we usually don't get out of bed and going until 10 or so each morning (I have to sleep in that late to make up for the times I am up in the night), but after I feed him in the morning I ask him, "Who's a cutie boy?" or "Who's the cutest boy?" and he always breaks out in a big smile! I am still having a hard time getting it on my camera (these first 2 pics were from my phone). I am going to work on getting a good video of him smiling big. The one I got here is alright, but not near as cute as he really can be.

It looks like he may have 2 teeth here ... not true! and I am so glad for that!

Jaxson likes the new playmat-gym thing I bought for him. I researched them a while online and decided on this rainforest/fisher price one. He loves it! I am trying to get him to reach out and touch the toys, but he has only done it a couple of times....

The attempt at getting the guy to smile big on camera. Didn't work too well haha. I find it quite funny how he just freezes once he sees the camera! silly boy :)

I love our little man!! He has been starting to smile a little more latley, especially after he has had a good feed. Whenever he sees the camera or phone, he pulls a concentrated face and he won't smile anymore. This is the best I have been able to get so far ...

I love how he crinkles his nose when he smiles ... silly guy! I just love him and staying home and taking care of him.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentines Day to all! I remember in elementary school making valentines for all the kids in my classes & I thought it was so fun to open all the Valentine’s I received from other people. Many years later, I still enjoy giving Valentine’s cards, but this one is going to be different. This one is a blog Valentine to my special husband. Ryan Lee Harbor, Happy Valentine’s Day! I love you with all my heart and am the happiest woman alive to have met and married you. A line from “It’s Your Love” by Tim McGraw comes to mind, “Oh it's a beautiful thing, don't think I can keep it all in. If you asked me why I've changed, all I gotta do is say your sweet name. HOORAY!!

About 1 hour ago I took my last lovenox blood thinner shot! I have been taking them twice daily since about 10 weeks prego ... that means I have taken nearly 600 shots!! Sometimes I couldn't feel it, but most of the time it hurt like no other. Regardless, I am so happy I was healthy throughout the entire pregnancy and I have had a good recovery. Most of all, I am grateful for a healthy baby!!

Jaxson's Blessing Weekend

Ryan's parents and sister came in to visit us this past weekend. While we had some family here, we thought it was a good time to bless our little guy at church. Ryan gave a wonderful blessing and we really enjoyed having family here in Austin. Sometimes we feel like we are so far away from our families (Canada & South Carolina & Utah) that it is nice to have them come and visit our new place. Here are some photos of the baby blessing day & what went down last weekend. (p.s. does any one know if you can rearrange the photos after you upload them? I always get confused when I am uploading them, and because it takes so long, I don't want to try and upload them again in a different order).



Baby Jaxson and his very Proud Momma! He has been smiling a lot more latley and I love it! He is especially smiley in the mornings after he has a good feed. One day I hope to get some good pictures of his smile, although he puts on a straight face as soon as he sees the camera ... silly boy! I just love this kid!

We were so glad Erika could come and see her nephew. I don't think she was disappointed with his studliness. We really enjoyed having you here girl!

1 month old

Jaxson is one month old today! Crazy how time has gone by since he was born. We both love being parents, although I believe we are much more tired now. Ryan has to get up and go to school pretty early a couple of times a week, and I just get tired from waking up every few hours in the night to feed the little guy. Just this week, Jaxson has been doing awesome at looking at me and he has had some good smiles too -- I love it! We are so grateful that this little man came to be in our family, he makes our family happier than we could have imagined. Here are a few photos we have taken recently of Jaxson.


Ryan had a stake basketball tournament yesterday. I have always enjoyed watching him play because he is really smooth moving around the basketball and he is just a straight baller! I had to get Jaxson dressed up to watch his all-star Daddy play (ry scored 40+ pts in the final game). Thanks Janica for the cute jordan clothes!

Jaxson and I cheerleading on the endline. I am excited for when I can start running and playing ball again. Hope I didn't lose too much skill while I was pregnant! I haven't played ball since April, so it will probably be pretty brutal next time I step out on the court ....

Inbetween games ... Ry's team played hard in the final but came up short. Thats ok though, Ry had fun and so did Jax and I.

I have been trying to walk on the tredmill a few times a week until I get the green light from my DR. to start exercising more. Exercising is much harder now because I have to time getting out of the house, right after Jaxson eats, so hopefully he will sleep while I exercise.
